The American supernatural-fantasy horror TV series based on L.J. Smith the same name book series premiered on September 10, 2010. Kevin Williamsom and Julie Plec made the television adaptation of the novel. CW Television Network renewed the vampire series for season 2 scheduled on September 9, 2010. There are a total of 22 episodes for season 2. So, mark your calendar for the Vampire Diaries next chapter!
