CW Hellcats TV Show

Hellcats is the newest television show made for CW. The cheerleading comedy-drama series based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick brings another intensifying adventure that will stand-out and rise above this fall. Starring in the new show are Alyson Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Heather Hemmens and Matt Barr.

The Hellcats TV Show was created by Kevin Murphy. It was announced last May 18, 2010 its inclusion for the fall 2010-11 season.

Hellcats Plot

Hellcats revolves around Marti, a pre-law university student at Lancer College in Memphis, Tennessee who comes up from the wrong side of the Town. When budget cutbacks and her female parent’s unceasing negligence induce her to lose her scholarship, she looks for a new scholarship. She takes in that one of the cheerleaders has gone injured and a billet on the squad is usable. She detests cheerleading but upon hearing that the new fellow member would get a scholarship she habituates her saltation sciences from senior high school to try out. She creates the Hellcats, the college’s free enterprise cheer leading team.

HELLCATS premieres Wednesday, September 8th (9:00-10:00p.m. ET) on The CW.
