Twilight fans and fanatics is surely happy and will be excited to this new stage of the upcoming Twilight Eclipse. Here’s a excerpt of the official statement of  IMAX:

“Twilight moviegoers will have a whole new way to experience this next installment of the series, with the enhanced image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience putting them IN the movie,” said Richie Fay, Summit Entertainment’s President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution. “The IMAX release puts us on the event film calendar for 2010, and we’re very excited to work with IMAX to bring a new kind of film to the IMAX theatre network.”

“Our 2010 film slate continues to fill out with strong titles, and a film from this incredible franchise is a very welcome addition,” said IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond. “This title fills a valuable spot in our 2010 summer release window, and will no doubt thrill IMAX audiences.”

Twilight Eclipse Premise

Summit Entertainment released a plot summary of Eclipse on February 20, 2009, which states:

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob – knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death?

The Twilight Saga Eclipse has some notable changes like the exit of New Moon director Chris Weitz to be helmed with director David Slade and also the return of Melissa Rosenberg as screenwriter. The role of Victoria played by Rachelle Lefevre in the previous two installment will have new persona in person of Bryce Dallas Howard. There are some new cast members like Jodelle Ferland as the new turned vampire, Xavier Samuel as Riley, Jack Huston as Royce King II, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Julia Jones as Leah Clearwater and Boo Boo Stewart as Seth Clearwater.

Twilight main characters Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. They will surely drain more blood out to their fans and avid supporters.

What is the best vampire series for you? Oftentimes, I see this question to poll surveys, blogs and magazines asking what is the best among Vampire Diaries, True Blood and Twilight. I made a personal brief comparison of the three vampire story:

Battle of Bloodsuckers - Vampire Diaries vs. Trueblood vs. Twilight

Vampire Diaries is a novel written by L.J. Smith and published way back 1991. The story of Elena Gilbert, a high school girl torn between two vampire brothers. The novel is presently adapted into a TV series and it premiered on September 10, 2009.

True Blood is based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris. The story centers on Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton.

Twilight is a novel series written by Stephenie Meyer. The story of Bella Swan who falls in love to vampire Edward Cullen. Both they face the trial and consequences of their love.
