Daybreakers is an upcoming 2010 vampire film written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig. The film is scheduled to be released on January 8, 2010 and to be distributed by Lionsgate. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill.

Set in 2019, an outbreak transforms all people in the world into vampires. The vampires are now in trouble as human scarcity means less human blood for them. They seek and farm for the remaining human to continue their existence. On the other hand, a secret team of vampires discover a way would rescue human race.
Ethan Hawke as Edward Dalton, a vampire researcher who tries to save humanity.
Claudia Karvan as Lucy, Edward’s love interest.
Sam Neill as Charles Bromley, a vampire in charge of a corporation.
Willem Dafoe as Elvis, a cured vampire who duels with Hawke’s character.
Isabel Lucas as Alison Bromley, the last surviving member of the human race.
