Newsweek Magazine has provoked controvery this week on the reisue of Sarah Palin Runner’s World Photo. She’s barelegged dressing in sporting shorts on the cover of this week’s issue.

The ex-GOP VP candidate slammed the news magazine in a scathing Facebook blog late Monday. Palin calls the photo selection a sexist and strategic manuever engineered by the liberal media to distract attention from the release of the former Alaska governor’s memoir, Going Rogue – available now.

The choice of photo for the cover of this week’s Newsweek is unfortunate. The Runner’s World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness — a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now.”
