Rapper Jay-Z rocks the star-studded concert at Madison Square Garden last 9/11/09.

“Answer the Call” concert paid tribute to the police officers and firefighters who died responding to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Jay-Z performed over 30 songs from his 11 albums during the two-hour celebration. The sold-out concert proceeds will be donated to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

Special guests came out to help out to celebrate the special day:

John Mayer – “Dirt Off Your Shoulder”
Mary J. Blige – “Can’t Knock the Hustle”
Beyonce – “Diva”
Rihanna – “Run This Town”
Kanye West

“We stand here tonight eight years later even stronger, even stronger,” Jay-Z yelled before the performance. “This is our own. We run this town New York City!”
